I listened to this and your Krugman dialogue for comparison. This is convenient if I am in the car but synthetic interviewer annoying. We’ve seen the Google Notebook parlour trick enough to be over it. Just have you reading the article IMHO!

To clarify - your AI voice reading the article. So no AI moderator

pretty close, the tone is a bit to high, and your cadence is important, the first queston was too fast and too hi pitch, the second question...better, more direct emphasis on closing words and sentences...

good stuff...

I would sooner listen to synthetic you, Azeem, but the interviewer voice is irritating and doesn’t add anything. Can synthetic you do a 1 person talk?

Thanks Azeem. I was thinking more about it and realised that it’s not just the synth interviewer’s tone, but the absence of a real role. When you interview someone it’s a dialogue, with you asking questions but also bringing in facts, observations and commentary from your own experience so that both parties, you and the person being interviewed, are contributing. In the interview you offered up though, the female interviewer just asks questions for your ‘Azeem’ synth to answer. She makes no actual contribution. Anyway, I think it’s a clever idea if you can make it work. Cheers.

Thanks for your feedback Stuart. We’ll try the monologue format next. The interviewer role is there to help break up long audio for an easier listening experience. I personally prefer it to monologue but we all listen differently! We’ll play around to improve

Hey Azeem,

Thank you for creating this fantastic site. I'm a subscriber and found the latest episode particularly insightful.

As someone who immigrated to the UK 20 years ago and made it my home, I have extensive experience in IT services, particularly in marketing, worked with major clients both in the UK and worldwide. I previously attempted to start a company here in 2012, but unfortunately, it wasn't successful.

I'm now exploring two potential paths and would value your perspective:

1) Given the high cost of living and hiring expenses in the UK, would you recommend pursuing business opportunities here or considering other countries?

2) As someone from a traditional IT services background, what would be your advice on pivoting into the AI industry? I'm particularly interested in understanding the most effective way to transition my existing skills into AI-focused roles.

A blog post or live session on these topics would be incredibly valuable, not just for me but for many professionals who are looking to make similar transitions in their careers.

Looking forward to your thoughts on these matters.

Cheers

Vikram
