Would love to see more on the computational resource issue for AI. Looking at the evolution of organic intelligence, we can see two things. First, size matters and evolution of intelligence generally involved increased brain size. Second, even after all the evolution, the human computer uses roughly 1/3 of each 24-hour period offline bearing the computational costs for intelligence - and more in the young! We need more optimal schemes, but it is quite likely that even the perfect scheme will be computationally expensive.

I'm trying to locate an episode of the podcast, wherein Azeem talks of the need for oversight institutions, that coordinate and aggregate data. Any hints as to what episode this was discussed in? Sorry for posting here, but couldn't find a contact form or help page.
