Researcher’s responsibilities will include:
Conduct in-depth research on people, industries and technologies. This will cover a wide range of topics across economics, technology, politics, science and climate change. The project is narrative-driven and episodic, with each episode focussed on a high-profile leader.
Prepare details and in-depth qualitative and quantitative briefs for the executive producer and for the host.
Prepare high-quality copy drafts for distribution to a global audience, output between 200 - 500 words.
Assist with administrative responsibilities on the project which may include scheduling, outreach, and project management.
Our requirements are the following:
Background: Degree-educated with 2+ years of experience of showing strong research or analytical skills. While a science or quantitative degree is not required, you will be asked to prepare in-depth briefings on scientific, technical and business topics — you need to be comfortable dealing with technical and scientific concepts.
High research capability proven through previous experience: you must be comfortable researching academic and mainstream sources of information, and speaking with relevant experts as needed.
A proven track record of finding, understanding and summarising topics in a short amount of time.
Quick learner on subject areas outside of immediate expertise.
Works well on high-pressure, quick turnaround projects.
English is your first language, or you have proof of native-level proficiency in English.
You are available immediately, or from February 1 at the latest.
Before applying, consider:
This is a six-month contract for a full-time position, starting on or near February 1.
While most of the work will be remote, there will be regular in-person meetings in London. You should consider this a London-based role. For this reason, UK-based candidates are preferred, although we may consider exceptional candidates based in the EU.
Compensation will be market-appropriate for this role.
How to apply:
Email your CV, portfolio of work (research papers, reports, other published work or work showcasing the required skills) and pay expectations to marija@exponentialview.co with subject “Researcher for Exponential View”.
