💬 Friday thread: Are we going back to work?
I’ve been struggling with the return to “work” as lockdowns lift. I often find myself in town for meetings which are bracketed by calls. If you see me scurrying into an alleyway furtively chatting into my phone, I’m just trying to get out of the wind to jump into that next Zoom meeting.
As friend of EV, Christian Hernandez says we are “suited and booted to go into the office...only to jump on zoom calls.”

The Washington Post goes deeper:
As many office workers head back to the office, employees are facing a bizarre new reality: They’re still spending most of their time isolated and glued to their computers for Zoom meetings, email and Slack. With more companies implementing permanent hybrid working options — in which some employees work from home and others in the office — the virtual nature of work may far outlive the pandemic.
How are you managing the return to work? Have you planned in-person days and remote days? Is this sustainable? What does a longer-term solution look like for you?
Looking forward to the discussion,

P.S. 😍 Thanks for all the fantastic reviews of EXPONENTIAL / THE EXPONENTIAL AGE on Amazon. If you haven’t had a chance to pop a ☺️ glowing review there or on Goodreads or wherever you bought the book, would you take a second to do so. It really helps other people find the book.
