Binyamin Appelbaum is a member of the editorial board of the New York Times. He has a long track record in covering the financial world. He won a George Polk Award for his coverage of subprime lending, and he was a finalist in 2008 for the Pulitzer Prize. He has a new book out, which is called The Economists' Hour: False Prophets, Free Markets, and the Fracture of Society.
