Mike Schroepfer, or Schrep, is the Chief Technology Officer at Facebook and one of the worldās most powerful and accomplished technologists. He has built the infrastructure that powered Facebook's incredibly rapid expansion from a few million users to a staggering 2.7 billion today. He's also an evangelist for two technologies at the core of Facebookās long-term ambitions, artificial intelligence and virtual reality.
I have been a bit of a skeptic about virtual reality, but I had a chance to play around with the Oculus Quest 2, the new headset that Facebook has released, and Iām pretty impressed. So we explore what role VR might play as a platform in computingās future.
