Meredith Whittaker is an AI researcher and activist. She is the co-director of the AI Now Institute, an independent research group looking at the social impact of artificial intelligence. Previously, Meredith worked at Google, and she was one of the instigators of the Google walkout in 2018, when 20,000 staff protested against the culture of harassment and discrimination at the company.
