In my latest podcast conversation, I dissect a recent report on the metaverse and money with EV member Ronit Ghose. Ronit, who is also head of the Future of Finance programme at Citi, a bank, explores the potential monetary aspects of the metaverse.

We also discuss (de)centralisation of the metaverse, startups in Web2.5, and the behavioural economics of our virtual existence. And we look through his analysis in this first segment of COTW#72.

Scoping the market
Ronit believes that a device-agnostic metaverse that caters to a variety of use cases such as healthcare, art, media, social, commerce and more, could cater to a total addressable market of $8-13 billion by 2030.
